He is a member of a number of organizations working on Tuberculosis including the Global Coalition of Tuberculosis Activists (GCTA), Mumbai Aids Forum, Mumbai TB Collective, ActionTB India, and Touched by TB India. Mr. Acharya has also played an active role in HIV/AIDS Act Movement and has, also mobilized civil society organizations in Mumbai.
